On Tuesday's (Sept 27) lunchtime news two people have been arrested after a boat run a ground off the coast of Wexford, childcare providers are protesting outside the Dail, and Austin Gleeson will not be part of the Waterford Senior Hurling Panel next year.

• Two men have been arrested after a major search of a trawler suspected of transporting cocaine to the UK struck a sandbank off the coast of Wexford.
• Many childcare providers have close as owners and staff travel up to Dublin to protest outside the Dail over the need for more funding.
• Austin Gleeson has opted out of the Waterford Senior Hurling Panel for 2024 after 10 years playing for the Deise senior side.
