In Episode 4 of Bold Moves, my feature series on people who set up businesses in the Pandemic, I spoke to Sinéad Gunnigle. Dublin native Sinéad moved to Waterford with her husband a number of years ago and last summer established Nest on The Quay in Waterford City. She's recently also gone online with lovenest.ie.

Sinéad tells me that her passion for interiors led her down to the path of ultimately opening her own business in 2020...

Patrick Haughey, who grew up in Waterford City and started his career in WLR and Beat 102 103, took his radio skills to Dublin where he spent many years at TodayFM. In 2017, he moved into podcasting and following that, set up his own business Audiobrand in 2018.

Patrick moved to West Waterford in 2020 with his family and operates his business from both his home and from the Dungarvan Enterprise Centre. He discusses his career to date, the power of podcasting as a way of creating brand awareness, and the joys of coming home..

Waterford Chamber will hold its AGM in June. Among other things, a new president will be elected, as well as new members of the board.

I was joined by current Chamber President Danette Connolly, who says the organisation is encouraging members to put themselves forward for election to the board. She outlines the role of board members, as well as its benefits..
