Weather forecasters are predicting lots of sunshine this weekend, particularly in the East of the country, with Sunday expected to be the hottest day of the year so far.
Gerry Murphy of Met Eireann says the weekend will see a return of very hot weather with temperatures on Sunday "reaching between 20 and 26 degrees - 25 or 26 degrees in parts of the eastern half of the country."
However, temperatures will drop slightly again next week with Monday being a fresher day with temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees and the rain returning on Tuesday, so make the most of the weekend if you can.
It comes as many bars and restaurants across Waterford have re-opened outdoor dining. In the city and county diners have been making the most of the outdoors, despite rain over the last few days.

Meanwhile Met Eireann are warning people to be careful in the hot sun and to take precaution against the sun's UV rays.
