Humble Bee Wraps is a new Waterford business
Lynn Cahill, who's been involved in the arts locally for years, is one of many people whose work dried up when the pandemic hit. She has embarked on a whole different journey with her new business Humble Bee Wraps.
Lynn chatted to me about how she taught herself to make the wraps in her own kitchen, and how they're a green alternative to using plastics such as clingfilm for wrapping food.
Arclabs in Waterford was one of three local enterprise centres to receive government funding this week. (Waterford City Enteprise Centre and Dungarvan Enterprise Centre being the other two.) I spoke to Aisling O'Neill about how the money will be spent at Arclabs, as well as about a virtual showcase of the Accelerator Programme that the innovation hub is hosting on Friday the 27th of November. It's always great to see new businesses opening in Waterford, and the City has seen some new offerings in jewellery of late. Harlow Fine Jewellers on Bailey's New Street opened its doors over the summer, and owner Lisa Statham told me they've also just launched a new website.

I also caught up with Dermot Ryan of G.L Ryan Jewellers. The family shop has been in operation in Kilkenny for 75 years and they've decided to open on Barronstrand Street at the site of where Kneisels used to be.
